Last week, the Pittsburgh Penguins hosted the Philadelphia Flyers in an outdoor game at Heinz Field.

As part of the festivities, the Pittsburgh Zoo provided some actual penguins.

It didn’t go exactly as planned:

Now PETA is fighting mad. In a letter to the Pittsburgh Penguins, PETA wrote “A noisy arena filled with screaming people and loud fireworks is no place for wild animals.”

In response, the Pittsburgh Zoo stated “it was a great enrichment opportunity for our penguins to be introduced to new sounds, sights and smells.”
