According to this report, an Iowa Sheriff tried to go backstage to discuss security protocol but was stopped and told no uniformed officers were allowed backstage. Apparently, the duo threatened to pull the plug on the concert if they saw any cops.
Then when they needed an escort out of town, they called for police help, but were told to go pound sand.
